Q&A

So I have your retinol serum, your hydrating, tonic, your hydrating serum, and your all day moisturizer, they pretty much all say to use daily and I want to know what is the best order to use them in or does it matter and should you use them all together?
Hello! Thank you for contacting Spa Sciences! To achieve the best results with your skincare products, it's important to use them in the right order and at the appropriate times of day. Based on the products you have – the retinol serum, hydrating serum, hydrating tonic,– here's a recommended routine: Morning Routine: 1. Cleanse your skin to remove any impurities or residue. 2. Apply the hydrating tonic using a cotton round. This helps to prep your skin for the next steps. 3. Follow up with the hydrating serum. This will provide additional hydration and prepare your skin for moisturizing. 4. Apply your moisturizer to lock in hydration. 5. Finish with SPF to protect your skin from sun damage. Night Routine: Cleanse your skin to remove makeup and impurities from the day. Use the hydrating tonic again with a cotton round. It's gentle enough for both AM and PM use. Apply the retinol serum. Nighttime is the best time to use retinol as it can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Finish with your moisturizer to nourish and hydrate your skin overnight. This routine ensures that you're using each product effectively, without causing any potential irritation or ineffectiveness by combining them improperly. The retinol serum is best used at night due to its sensitivity to sunlight, while the hydrating serum is great for the morning to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day. The hydrating tonic is versatile enough for both morning and night use, enhancing the benefits of the other products in your routine. Should you have additional questions don't hesitate to email us.
I’m starting to get lines around my mouth, which of your skincare products would you recommend to combat these wrinkles or lines and I’m talking about your products like serums and tonics and devices?
Hello Debi, Our LORI is great for areas around the mouth. Our Retinol serum is our most active anti-aging product. https://spasciences.com/products/lori?_pos=1&_sid=89d36360a&_ss=r https://spasciences.com/products/retinol-serum?_pos=1&_sid=bd16652fd&_ss=r We hope this helps.
Is the retinol serum a good product to use with your micro needling pen? If not, which of your products would you recommend?
Hello Deb! Thank you for reaching out to Spa Sciences! We have received your inquiry. Retinol serum is not recommended due to its exfoliating components. It can increase sensitivity, with its exfoliating and skin-renewing properties. When combined with microneeding, it can penetrate deeper into the skin, which can cause stinging or peeling. Microneedling promotes skin healing and collagen production. Using retinol too soon afterward can interfere with the natural healing process and prolong recovery time. It is best to use hydrating serums containing ingredients like niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.
